FrontPage 2002 FAQ & How Tos


  • Publish to your web site using FrontPage 2002
    1. On the File menu, click Publish Web.
    2. In the Publish Destination dialog box, do one of the following:
          Type the location of your web site:  http://www.YourSite.com.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Enter web site login name and password.
  • How to open my web site using FrontPage 2002
    1. Open FrontPage software
    2. On the File menu, click Open Web
    3. Enter your web name:  http://www.YourSite.com
    4. Click Ok
    5. Enter web site login name and password.
  • Create a form
    When you insert a form, Microsoft FrontPage inserts a rectangular area outlined with a dashed line that contains a Submit and a Reset button. Inside this rectangular area, you can add text and form fields, such as text boxes, option buttons, check boxes, drop-down boxes, and push buttons.
    To create a form, do the following in Page view:
    1. On the Insert menu, point to Form, and then click Form.
    2. Set Up a Form to Post Results by E-mail in FrontPage 2000
  • Add a hit counter to a web page
    1. In Page view, position the insertion point where you want to place the hit counter.
    2. On the Insert menu, click Web Component.
    3. In the left pane, click Hit Counter.
    4. Follow the Hit Counter Wizard and make your selections.
  • Add a graphic to a web page: You can add a graphics from a variety of sources.
    Add a graphic from a file
    1. In Page view, position the insertion point where you want to insert a graphic.
    2. On the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click From File.
    3. Browse to the graphic you want from your local file system or web site, select the file, and click Insert.
  • Create a hyperlink: Create a hyperlink to a page or file
    1. Select either text or a picture.
    If you do not select text or a picture, the destination URL is displayed as the hyperlink text.
    2. Click Insert Hyperlink .
    3. Under Link to, click Existing File or Web Page.
